I was born and brought up in God’s own county - Yorkshire.  That's probably why my favourite things in life don't cost anything.  Somehow, over the years, I've managed to hold down a succession of jobs and bring up a family.  Now retired, I consider myself very lucky but fossilising faster than I realise.  Several parts of my body are still in reasonable working order, so that’s something.   His lordship, Jack, a cocker spaniel, happily expects me to spend half my life being his dogsbody, which is ironic.
